Beautiful & Easy Day Trips from Paris by Train

Day trips from paris by train | Rouen Medieval Street

Day trips from Paris by train are very easy. Knowing how to make these trips happen, and which day trips from Paris by train appeal to you, is even better!

Our Bilzen Home…

Most definitely, the sweetest time we had on our trip was in Bilzen, Belgium.  It didn't have the great monuments of the world, or museums or palaces like we had seen, but it has wonderful friends. Years ago Scott and I traveled with a team of people from our church in Virginia to visit a church … Continue reading Our Bilzen Home… →

Bruges: Canals and Churches

Waking up Thursday, I had not planned on a long shower.  But we were in the Grand Hotel Casselbergh, and had a shower with the best hot water and water pressure we had yet had in Europe, so a long, hot shower was all I wanted.  We all took advantage.  If I somehow convinced Scott … Continue reading Bruges: Canals and Churches →

Run for the Train to Bruges!

I am completely shocked to report that we made it on the 11:00am train from Paris to Brussels, with a connection on to Brugge. We had the classic almost-didn't-make-it run to the train station today.  We caught the cab in time, but didn't predict the amount of traffic.  I mean, this was complete with anxious … Continue reading Run for the Train to Bruges! →

London, Paris, Bruges… Oh my!

A KEY arrived in the mail today!  I just held it and grinned like an idiot, because this key is to an apartment in PARIS!  That's right, Paris!  Ah, Paris in the springtime... We are finally close enough to this trip to get a KEY in the MAIL!  I'm considering having it surgically attached to … Continue reading London, Paris, Bruges… Oh my! →

Awesome view of the #teampresentations in #brussels today! #tdf2019 #tourdefrance2019
Spending 3 weeks in Europe this summer, but only today in #Rotterdam. Usually I'm a committed love-the-historic-towns kinda girl, but decided to take the train over today for a change of pace. Turns out... I kinda #loverotterdam - who knew. There's a fresh, chill, fun vibe here. A few historic spots for me to get in, but lots of fun architecture to keep me looking up and around. And awesome waterfront and houseboats the hubby would love. Think next trip may need more of this.
Wow! You want to feel you are having a meal in an English country garden green house? You have to try NYC rooftop dining @eatalyflatiron #serrabybirreria - even better? Go during a rainstorm. So many of us watching the ceiling in awe as the rain thundered down. Very cool!
A little more Weiβgerbergasse for the feed, because it's just too adorable. It's best to get there early in the morning to get photos without the people wandering, and for best light! Be sure to check out the link in our profile to #Wandertoes most recent post, the beautiful and historic things to do in Nuremberg.⠀
Right in the heart of Old Town Nuremberg is the Church of Our Lady, and the Schoner Brunnen, or Beautiful Fountain. Look for the gold ring on the ornate gate around the fountain. If you turn it while making a wish, the wish just might come true! Check out the link in #wandertoes profile for our latest post on all the beautiful and historic things to do in Nuremberg.⠀
The winding stairway of Sinwell Tower in the Castle Nuremberg complex. Awesome views from the top, and a crazy photogenic set of steps! Check out the link in #wandertoes profile for our latest post on all the beautiful and historic things to do in Nuremberg.⠀
